Whilst the 54 month EU FET OPEN PRIME research period of the project may now be concluded, our PRIME researchers continue to highlight their great work in PRIME through dissemination activities.
This month, PIs representing Università degli Studi di Ferrara attended the 36th International Epilepsy Congress in Lisbon, where Marie Soukupova presented her poster “tRNA-derived RNA fragment changes in CSF and plasma in a rat model of temporal lobe epilepsy,” highlighting groundbreaking findings on two specific tRNA fragments, 5’GluCTC and 5’GlyGCC, which show great promise as potential biomarkers for forecasting seizures.
The UNiFE team also attended the National Congress of the Italian Society for Neuroscience (SINS) in Pisa, representing PRIME at a congress which covered a wide range of neuroscience topics, and was an excellent opportunity to share their epilepsy research in PRIME with fellow experts in the field.
